Reading back on these entrys is hilarious and sad at the same time.
I once loved getting on here and writting all the goings on and
crap that was in my life/head. Then I thought it was lame and
hardly ever did it. So much shit has gone on in the last six or so
years Im really glad I have this record to document it (I sure hope
this site never crashes or Ill be spewing).
Since the
last post on the 19th of July 2007 so much shit has happened I'm
not sure where to start. We recorded an album bout this time last
year called MECHANICSOFTHEMACHINE. Recorded at Hothouse studios in
ST Kilda over three days and mastered by Jack the Bear. The album
is fucking sick. I still listen to it heaps and love it.
We won a battle of the bands at the end of last year. We beat about
80 other bands to the ten grand prize money. I still cant believe
we won. We played the worst gig we have ever played in the finals
(Had really shitty stage sound and we kept going out of time) but I
guess we did something right. Our show was at 4pm, so we played it
and fucked off till ten. When we got back the place was absolutely
packed. We played to a room of about 70 people and now there was
about 500 people easy. We watched the last two bands play (Mojo
Rising & some other shit band) and I wanted to kill
myself. They were so shit and and I was so sure they were gunna win
cause they had a room full of absolute cock smokers loving it. We
were so pissed of that when they announced that the Blue Swimmers
had won we couldn't fuckin believe it. We marched up to the stage
thinking it was some kinda joke. When we got up there this guy by
the name of Gargantuan (kinda ironic since he was about four foot
tall) gave us ten grand in fifty dollar notes. Then he starts
paying us out to the audience. Telling them that we played our gig
and pissed off and that we didnt support them and crap like that. I
was shitting myself, holding ten grand in fiddys and getting booed
by five hundred people. I didnt think we were getting out of there
alive. Then I look up and Nida and Juddy are telling them all to
get fucked, grabbing their balls and flipping this packed room the
bird. I was freaking!!
But some
how we got out of there with our booty and went and got well fucked
up!!
Now this
is where everything gets all fucked up. Our brother, best friend
and drummer Juddy Roller died on the 6th Feb 2009. I cannot
possible start to explain how fucked up this is!! Juddy was
one of the most amazing people I have ever known. He was such an
amazing song writer, drummer, singer and person. He is greatly
missed everyday. I remember meeting Juddy for the first time. Nida
and I rocking up to his place to pick him up for our first jam. He
was this crazy dude with an afro and when we started playing it was
just fucking ripping. We canned our original drummer of four years
that day (with a txt msg ha ha). JR fucking loved being a Blue
Swimmer. It was his life. He is missed very much!!!!
So Me and
Nida winked out (obviously), pissed pretty much all our winnings up
the wall and called the Blue Swimmers a day. We thought we had had
a good run and didnt want to go on without Juddy.
So anyway
months passed (about 3) and we decided to get a new drummer and
keep being Blue Swimmers.
I figured
one of the best ways to keep Juddys memory alive is through our
album and his songs and plus I just missed being a Swimmer. We got
my mate Scotty Walkz who Ive been jamming with in his band the
Bilbatrons ( www.myspace.com/thebilbatrons ) to play drums and now
we are back stronger then ever. We have a whole heap of new songs
as well as bangers from our album and we are almost ready to gig.
Yay!!
I just
wish we hadnt pissed all those dollars up cause we are a broke ass
band again. He he Dang!!

Ahh Hoi Hoi everyone. Hows it all goin in your world? My world is
going preety well I guess. The old Blue Swimmers just keep on
swimming along. Our new drummer Juddy is settling in nicely, Infact
I couldnt imagine the band without him. Hes just as fucked up as
the rest of us and I love the little bastard like a brother. We are
playing the Provincial tonight and I cant wait. The last time we
played there was probably one of the best gigs weve played. The
audience were awesome and the beer was delicious. We went to
Warrnambool and played to a bunch of pissed bogans the other week
with our very good friends Dirty Buzzard. The Singer in Dirty
Buzzard is Mo. Mo was once a Blue Swimmers and he recorded our
first two EPs (which never saw the light of day cause they sucked
but that wasnt Mo's fault. We were yet to find ourselves) Mo is a
fucking legend and Dirty Buzzard rock sox. I have a new Myspace up
that I have put some of my acoustic schtick on and pic's of my
beloved Luci. check it out www.myspace.com/dogandman
Hmmm what else has been happening in Swimmers land....We
rocked the Spanish Club on one of its last nights and it was
awesome. We were asked to do the gig from a band named
Sincity. There were heaps of other really cool bands and it
was ripping. We were so lucky to get to play there before it closed
and it sux ass that we lost another killer band venue. Anyways im
outta here. I love you mum.

Kinda
reluctant to write anything as I guess Im not as talkative as I
once was. The weight of the world will do that!
We have
finally reached an acceptable level of tightness and are full
pumped for our gig on the 1st of March.
Juddy is an
amazing dude and I love him like a brother. There is no question
that the Blue Swimmers are finally complete and hala fuckin lula
its about time. Now Rick was a kick ass drummer but he just didnt
give a fuck and its so sweet to have someone who is hungry and who
actually cares about trying to make it.
Long live
the Blue Swimmers, much thanks to my wingman Nida and much love to
everyone who has supported the Blue Swimmers over the
years.

fully stoked to announce that we have finally found the missing
piece in the Blue Swimmers puzzle.
We have a
new drummer by the name of Justin Brookes and are getting down to
some serious jamming so
we can
start gigging again in the new year. We havnt really played to much
this year and we are all hangin to
get back to
playing live. Justin is a cool as dude and a much needed and
welcome addition to the Swimmers.

Gday everyone, I really dont have that much to say at the minute.
We dont really have a regular access to the internet so it makes
updating the website a pain in the ass. We have a myspace page that
Im preety stoked with www.myspace.com/theblueswimmers also I have a
new pot on the stove, so check it out at
www.myspace.com/therunningmix. Cool. We are recording at the
minute. Trying to get some good recordings down on this little
Roland hard disk recorder for a second EP. Hopefully some of these
new songs will be up on the mp3 page soon. I got a new bass (thanks
to Rockhardo) so Im just loving playing bass at the minute and cant
wait to rock Revolver next wk.
Ok cool, I gotta go and drink beers. Much love. Trav wonders

Hey
hey everyone. We played what was maybe the best gig ever last
night. It was a Freeza gig in Beaconsfield and it rocked. We played
with some awesome bands, this one band 'face for radio' played an
awesome Jewel cover and I was most amazed. They also played the VB
theme song, that was awesome. Much thanks to Freeza.
We are back at Revolver this Tuesday
for some showcase thing, We only get to play a short set so that
sux and Im preety sure its all a scam anyway. Damn Scammers. Last
week we started mixing a new track for release on the next issue of
'Rollcall' its coming along real awesome and we also hope to start
recording an album or something real soon. In saying that its makes
me think about all the things I have said in these writtings that
havnt come true...like preety much everything..Oh well. like
Whatever dude.
Big shout to all those little dudes and dudettes at the gig last
night and see yas all on Tuesday at Revolting.

Hello
everyone. As I sit here at ten to four in the morning trying to
work out the nuts and bolts of this brand new website ( thanks
heaps to greggor and shanksy) My eyes are burning from staring at
the computer screen and I think Im becoming a hunchback. Im not
really sure where Im going with this. Oh well. Thanks so much to
Shae Ford for all the hours she laboured over our old website, all
the times she wanted to throw the mouse across the room and for all
the times she helped me out. So much has happened since my last
entry but It all kinda blurs into one big mess of crap in my brain.
My very awesome mates just released a BMX DVD called 'Rollcall' and
we were lucky enough to have a song on it. Its so cool seeing all
the sick tricks going down while our song cranks along with it and
also its being shipped to all corners of the globe so that is also
really cool. Im not really that big on grammer and punctuation or
even spelling for that matter so from this rant onwards its going
to be a free for all and I just hope that I make some sense
sometime. We recently played two awesome gigs, the first at
Revolver with our good mates 'False Profit' those dudes are
awesome. The second at the public bar in the city which was also
good but I was kinda sick and the fold sucked but it was still
cool. Some managers came down to see us rock but I dont think they
wanna hook us up. They said we have to smile more at each other or
some sorta shit but they obviously didnt notice that we were trying
to rock the fucking house and we aint got time to smile at each
other nor do we really feel like smiling anyway. Ide rather snarl
cause thats how I feel on stage but then in saying that I do smile
a lot so I dont know what their problem is.
For the past three months Ive been living at a really cool place
called the Kentinel, You could say I was kinda room sitting. Anyway
the dude came back and arseholed me out onto the street, So now Im
living In our band van for a couple of weeks. Its kinda cool
everynight is like a campout but couldnt do it for to long, middle
of winters a bitch. Me and Nida have been working on the artwork
for our EP. We are fully redoing it all, into proper cases and then
getting 500 of the bastards. WoooHooo. Apparently we can sell disks
from this website so this might be a good time to plug it.....the
Blue Swimmers EP OUT NOW.
Ok
Im preety much done. Thanks again to Shae and Dan Brown
rocks.

Hello Friends, Family,
lovers and fanatical tBS fans.
Wow I don't know quite how to word this, so I will just speak from
the heart. In September my precious baby the Blue Swimmers will
turn three and I just can't believe all the cool stuff we have done
and how lucky we have been to be able to play some amazing gigs to
some amazing people at amazing venues. We rocked the Gershwin room,
got to record an EP, have played about 20 gigs this year and I have
grown as a human being as well as a bass player/lead
singer/manager/songwriter. I don't think I am really describing the
emotions that I am feeling very well but there's not a day that
goes by that I don't wish I was more articulate.
Just want to say to everyone who has ever been to a tBS gig or owns
our EP... thanks to you all so very much. Thanks to Nida and Rick
for putting up with my mood swings and general eccentricities and
for enabling me to grow into the person I am today. Much love to
the Green St/Kent St/Benson St/Leslie St/Baker St/Shelley St/RMB 16
crews. Big shout to Chilli Jalapeno the most amazing human being I
know, and also the bigest jerk I know (hee... hee... just joking,
could never be a bigger jerk then me and Phil). Sending love
accross the sea to the Magical Greggor ( watch out for those prams
dude). Much love to Jane for all the printing she has done for
us...and all the printing she's gunna do! (hee... hee...)
Sending the super human strength I have for keeping bands together
to Aluka and Mumma Kharma. I sure hope ya'll back on your feet
soon. Well not Aluka... cause me and Pabs are going to form a
rocking two piece when I get back.
Well I guess that's about it. I haven't read through this, I have
just spewed from my heart, but I'm sure after my editor gets
through with it it will make perfect sense ( thanks Ed).
I don't think we have that gig at the Sth Melb townhall anymore, so
our next gig will be at Revolver on the 27th July.
Certainly last, but not least much love to Sara, Clair, Bonnie
(mmm... Bonnie), those foxxy Canadian Girls (especially Lisa who
made me feel kinda funny, like when we used to climb the ropes in
gym class), Caryn and Shae who put up with me always being there
and probably not helping any situation and smoking all the weed.
Hmm... much love to Dave Francis (we ain't done yet dude, not by a
long shot). To the baddest man Alzar, the Dark Monk Bam Savage, the
JZA, the PHZA, Beardo, Spud, My brother Matty Fresh and my saviour
the Bass Butcher, the benevolent Bobby Crunch and all my other soul
brothers I love you all more then words can say.
Whooop gotta go (Trav climbs down from his soapbox)
Much Love, Peace and Beautiful Music!

Hey Cats! I hope everyone out there in internet world is
awesome. We, the Blue Swimmers, are going
really great. We rocked sox at the Townhall the other night, played
two rocking sets, broke in two new songs and all sorts of Blue
Swimmers debauchery. Some jerk tried to pick a fight with a member
of the Blue Swimmers Dance Posse for bumping his drink while he was
standing on the dance floor. Jerk. Anyways thanks to everyone who
came down.
We started shooting a filmclip to 'Pain' last week, so that should
be done soon. Also we are bringing out a DVD real soon... so thats
kinda exciting. Rumour has it that we are going up to Wangaratta
soon to play some nights which will be cool. Also we are going up
to Jindabyne to play some shows as well, so it's definatelly all
good.
I just finished reading Anthony Keidis's autobiography last night
and I'd like to say – Anthony if you ever read this (which I don't
think you will) I love you man and your story touched me... also I
love the Greeting song. Bigshout to Flea!
We don't have any gigs this month...yet, but that's cool. We are
just chillin for a sec, plus we need a new batch of disks to send
to a new batch of venues. Hey go to this link to read this stupid
interview I did http://mp3hardplay.proboards25.com

Hey everyone,Firstly thanks to everyone who came and rocked at the
Gershwin room, the Artcentre and that rocking party at the
Kentinel. They were all fully awesome gigs and we had an awesome
time but that gig at the Kentinel taked the cake, about 20 people
moshing so hard in a small lounge room, smashing windows, pulling
out guitar leads and knocking over the mikes it was Anarchy it was
AWESOME!! I was scared for my life.
Some sad news I heard recently was that 'the Duke of Windsor' is
closing its doors. Just like the legendary Punters club it will
become a legend that bands talk about, the mythalogical 'Duke',
Atleast we got to play there and not just once but three rocking
times. Thanks Andy :)
Ok gotta go, Please everyone come down to'the Townhall Hotel' in
Nth Melbourne this Friday night for two rocking Blue Swimmers
sets...thats two different sets.

Hey! Hey! Wow, today has been so cool. First I got a call from Gav
at the Espy and he told me we were playing at the Gershwin Room
next Friday. Wow! I was like shaking and stuff... it was an amazing
moment. Nida and I have dreamed about playing the Gershwin... it's
gunna rock!! So come down.
Then I went to Nida's and we got some Jimmys and drank them and
talked about Blue Swimmers related issues. Today has been great! We
are playing at the Armidale Hotel tomorrow, which will be full
throttle sickness. We are playing with Shae's band 'Mumma Kharma',
so it's gunna be a hoot! Also we have a sick new song we will be
playin that rocks socks.

Hello Everyone, It's
Anzac Day today and it's so hard to imagine that 90 years ago dudes
way younger then me where getting blown apart fighting in some
stupid war masterminded by powerhungry jerks and then still today
dudes way younger than me are still getting blown apart fighting in
some stupid war masterminded by powerhungry jerks. It just really
sux, me thinks. Anyway who you goin? Wow! I was so pissed when I
wrote my last entry and what else I find amusing, is that I was
bitching we didn't have any more gigs and then 'Bam' we got the Dan
gig and the Greenroom gig this Thursday. I'm so stoked to be
playing the Greenroom, as I've been trying to get a gig there for
years. Thanks Al!!
A big shout to 'the Curious Few' who rocked on Saturday and a super
big shout and much love to everyone who turned up to the Dan. Also

Hey! What's decrappenating fuckin'? I'm just chillin' out here
drunk, pissed off that we don't have any gigs for another three
weeks or something... but I guess it's cool, cause we have got
these new songs we are rehearsing and we will be able to unleash
them at the next gig (which is at the Armadale Hotel on High St
Armadale, just in case you didn't know). I got nothing much else to
say except this rhyme...
Not a care in the world, got rock on the brain, got smoke in my
lungs and I'm feelin insane.
Got a bass in my vice, like kung-fu grip, and I play, sit back and
watch the world slip.
Watch the world slip... yeah... watch the world slip!!

P.S. We are a rockin' band, so please don't let me rhyming prowess
fool you.

Hello Friends!
We had two really great gigs last week in Geelong and Brunswick.
They both rocked real hard and Nida just got his Marshall stack so
his guitar is sounding bigger than ever. I sure hope no one out
there went to the Dan O'Connell on Saturday to see us, cause we had
to cancel that gig and forgot to change it on the website...
oops!
On a more personel note, there has been a lot of bad talking lately
(mainly by me) about our bastard drummer Double Kick Rick and I
wanted to clear it all up right now. Double Kick Rick is an
absolute legend and I see him as my brother, one of my best friends
and he is an absolute mutha-fucka of a drummer. I just get a little
shitty at him at times and cause I can, I put it on our website...
it's very theraputic for me. So to recap, I love you Double Kick
Rick and you were extra amazing at those last gigs.
See yas soon everyone.
Love n Peace. T-WO

First I would like to say that I am updating the website myself

Anyways... We have more gigs coming up than a Hong Kong prostitute
on Chinese New Years. Some with Ric and some with Pablo, and all
fully aweswome. So come on down... the waters fine.
Ok now just one final note, we have just under a 1000 hits on our
website so a massive thanks to everyone who visits our website.
Whoever or wherever you are.

thanks to Annie Bananie, my new housemate, one time muse and great

down... you lazy bastard!!! It was a long weekend, it was free to
get in and it was at 9:30…Thanks yo!!

for also letting us use his gear. Much love See yO!!!

The first thing I would like to say is...what's with Drummers
today??? It seems that pretty much all drummers I know are holding
their bands to ransom!! Sorry just had to get that off my
chest!
So what else do I have to say? Well… we've done seven gigs so far
this year and we have another one this Sunday at the Espy Public
bar. This Sunday is a bit of a special gig, cause we are playing
with a new drummer, Pablo. Ricardo still won't play on Sundays, so
Pablo is our new Sabbath drummer.
Nida and I have started an M.I.T. course (Music Industry
Technology). Tis really cool as we get to study music, talk about
music and play music all day (and still get the dole! tee…
hee…)!
Nida and I sacrifice a lot on a daily basis for our art. There is
nothing that we would let come before our precious Swimmers, and
once we get a drummer that feels the same way, the Blue Swimmers
will be able to take the next step.
Much love and Peace!
